600/750/900ss Fuel Tank Breather

  1. I'm on the look out for a fuel tank breather from one of the carbed SS models for a friend who is restoring a '94 900SS. Anyone got a spare or know where we could find one?

  2. What do you mean? Just the little one-way valve on the breather pipe or the triangular bit?

  3. The one way valve that fits on the tube from the tank vent.

  4. Ah yes. Still available new from Ducati. Worth it as a used one will likely fail. It’s just a one way valve. If you’re not intending to drop the bike then it’ll run perfectly well without one in the short term.

I’ll have a look in the stash and see if I have one.

  5. I would appreciate that. I can see that they are still available from Stein Dinse but at a hell of a price!

  6. Hi Derek, did you get sorted with a second hand one or buy new, mine has gone on my 900ss, with a full tank if I brake I get fuel pouring out of the overflow pipe.

  7. Could it be that it’s fitted the wrong way round, like mine was?

  8. No I never did. I think he got one off something else. I will ask.

  9. Ok thanks Derek.
Carr, no it’s fitted correctly and has worked fine up until recently.
Borgo, I like the price, might give one a go thanks.

  10. I got one of those BP, 6mm, fits fine, it only allows air through in one direction, the original when I took it off and tested it allowed air through in both directions, so a good fix and approx £47 cheaper than the original part!
