Hi, after 2 previous failed attempts, at the ripe old age of 66 I finally own a Monster, 2006, 14k on the clock. I bought it as a non running project, unfortunately the previous owner (for 17 years) died suddenly last Sept and the bike has stood idle since then. I bought the bike from his brother, he knew the battery was knackered and thought maybe his brother had problems with the fuel pump. Anyway, Im not new to older Ducati's have had 2 carby 900ss's. Fitted a new battery to the bike, turned the key and lots of whirring buzzing and dials flicking around, all idiot lights out except oil and neutral. Ok so far. Hit the start button, lights dim a bit and electrical whirring but absolutely nothing else, engine light comes on then off then silence. My thoughts are immobiliser, do I need to re enter key code? Or starter relay/solenoid/starter motor? If there was a fuel pump issue I assume engine would turn over but not start? Any thoughts kind people? Andrew
