So been researching that and frankly it does not look to complicated to do but would need few things confirmed. First off all I know I would need this abs servo, brake lines all 4 parts (two lines to servo and two from it to callipers) something like this: Ducati Monster 696 2010 2011 2012 ABS Brake Control Unit Pump 542.4.022.1A | eBay I would obviously need correct discs with those funny markers and sensors. Now my question is ABS servo is it controlled by ECU on 696 or does it have seperate ECU? Correct me if I am wrong but I think early models of Ducati bikes with ABS, monsters nad multis had seperate ECU for engine, suspension and ABS right? Another correct me if but I do not think ABS ECU would need re-programming. Yes technically older monesters have weaker brakes but if ECU does not know it it will not hurt it as it picks up wheel slowing down, stopped and accelerating via sensors and if it sees it locked it will release pressure until it moves again? Obviously one could just move forks and fit monoblocks
If anyone knows of other bikes with ABS that have seperate ABS ECU's and actuators would appriciate that. Transfering thowe would be on same principle as above and only discs could be an issue.
