Any body know of one ? Fender extender for the front guard. Never seen one Just asking if there might be one around.
Ive never seen one Gramps. You may have to use a mudguard of another bike where one can be fitted but I can honestly say ive never seen one advertised.
Good reply Son I thought I had not seen any about. Never mind. I fitted some rad guards today so that should do the job.
I'm not a fan of rad guards. Any obstruction in front of a radiator bothers me. Besides my 916 is a 98 model and both oil cooler and rad fins are fine. In that time (ive ownd it since 2000) Ive recombed both once only and generally hose the dirt and muck off regularly. Combing is a pain and takes a while but its worth it if your fins are a bit bent. Its a summer job.
Just combed mine today. But decided it was better having the guards. My last 748 had them and I had no problems. Time will tell. You might be able to tell me something else while were at it. I have just bought a set of Chinese Levers £33 when I come to fit them there is a grub screw which is an adjuster for a pin/piston which activates the hydraulic system. NO PIN unless your supposed to remove the standard pin which is threaded and would not sit comfy in the grub screw adjuster ? Besides I cannot remove the OEM pin it is stuck solid. Any idea Regards Ken.
Hmm not sure Ken. I didnt buy Chinese ones. Mine came with adjusters. I can only suggest a good squirt of God's own aftershave. WD40 and then swapping over. I'd send you mine but I retain all my OEM parts. Soz. boots
