Hi all, Am looking for some carbon cambelt covers, clutch cover, tail tidy and indicators and clutch/brake levers (in black) anyone selling any of these bits or could recommend where to buy for a good price? Will probably get the R&G tail tidy through conquest as they have been great to deal with so far unless anyone has a good nic one goin cheap... Cheers
Do you want stock brake and clutch levers? in which case only grey is available and not black and are as fitted to the 748SPS models, you can these from ebay for quite a cheap price. If you want actual black billet levers then these are good, I just bought a set for an RGV 250 and they are good quality. Although Orange is shown here you just inform the seller that you want long or short levers, the colour of the lever and the colour of the adjusters. They also do them for earlier models. Cheers red, Yeah im after billet black ones. Just had a look at that link, its a good price but maybe too good! Am weary of Chinese stuff but maybe I shouldn't be? Are they well made and smooth movement and what not? im guessing so or you wouldn't recommend! I just struggle a lil trying to work out how they can make em so cheap and still make a profit when the likes of asv and cnc are 10 times the price...
Simply put, yes they are. I have bought several sets of these over a period and have them on all but one of my bikes, which has CRG levers. For the money they are worth it. I have seen some anodised parts from China etc. that have faded in the sun but so far I have not had a problem with any of them. My bikes lead a sheltered life, quite literally, but at that price you almost can't lose. For the cost compared to quality they are surprisingly good. I would buy another set for any bike I had that I wanted them for, the fit is perfect.
I'm liking them more and more! only thing is that i've spent a lot of money on my bike ( a lot for me anyway!) and not just on bling for blings sake but to get it how I want it.... Would I feel let down buy putting cheap bits on it? Only I know how I feel obviously but I mean would they be in keeping with what i'm aiming for or would they be a compromise in quality to save a few quid? do like the idea of £16 vs £160+ though but im still not sure!.... I think I think too much! I'm gunna buy a set if they don't cut it for me i'll get some others.....
Buy a set, if you don't like them put them on ebay, It's not impossible to even make a profit on them as the price of these levers varies and these are the cheapest I have come across , I paid £30 odd for a pair for my 748S and they are identical to the ones I have just purchased for the RGV same colour and same adjuster colour and yet the new ones were only £16 from a different company. The average eBay price is about £54 from UK suppliers who are no doubt buying them from the same manufacturer.
