Re: 748 rear brake caliper upgrade. Hi to all. Would any 748 owners out there know if the Brembo M4 rear brake calipers are at all an upgrade for the poor rear braking. Owned bike from new but the rear braking has always been poor to say the least. Thanks in advance
No at least it didn’t quite work with mine. Its the poor location, the brake line that is above the calliper, always makes it hard to bleed. Best way is to remove it and bleed it disconnect.
Deffinately remove the caliper and get the bleed nipple above the fluid reservoir. Bleed it up and flush all the old fluid out and they are a different brake altogether.
It's best to replace your brake caliper mount bracket with a larger one from 848 EVO or Monster S4RS so you can have larger rear rotor, plus replace your brake caliper with Brembo HP Billet Rear Brake Caliper - 84mm Part# 120.A441.10
