I'm about to put about 1/2 dozen 748 / 916 / 996 / 998 side faring panels, seat units and carbon ACU belly pan on eThief... Before I do, does anyone need any panels? Most are old track-day fairings, some are poor condition ( track day only?) some are good nick, but none are perfect..
All, Been a bit busy. I'll upload some photos in the next day or so... Not go a race seat; but have two road seat units as far as I can recall. One in very good condition. I'll see if the other is suitable for a race / track unit?? With regard to prices; what ever is fair... I'll try to get some photos up soon...
Nothing so exotic I'm afraid; however, I do have a carbon Belly Pan up for grabs. It's the one in the photo on the left... Better photos on the web site (www.wye4teen.com) go to the home page; or go to NBC 2011 loads for some better phots of it on No 14
Sold the bike with the race seat on it... I'll check tonight, but don't think I have a good race seat spare...
That's what everyone says but mine are full carbon single pieces left and right with a carbon belly pan! I might be interested though - can you send me some pictures of them and how much?
Are you sure there genuine Duc?...if so I think some of the us 998s's apparently had carbon sides to make up for not having a deep sump motor. I'll PM you done pics. Incidentally why would you be after panels if you already have a set? Tom
Thanks Tommy. I'm not sure if they are genuine Ducati. Only had the bike since last year so I need to investigate their origins - not sure if the insides come with a sticker or are stamped at all? I've had the fairing off, but not thought to look until now. The bike has done 18k miles and they look as if they have been on there for all of those. The last owner thought it would be fun to drill two 10p sized holes right in the middle of his painted carbon fairing to put bloody crash bungs on - you can imagine that they ruin the lines of the bike in my opinion. I am thinking about plugging the holes with carbon filler and having all the bodywork repainted (which it could do with anyway, given the stone chips and crazed paint after 18k miles), but I'm not sure if my skills will run to making a repair look seamless - I am considering it but I thought I might back both horses and make sure I have a serviceable second set before I start filling and rubbing paintwork down. I'll read your email and answer offline to this thread. Davidx
