748 rear tyre size 180/55 or 190/50

  1. I'm after some Rosso 2's for my 748.

    Pirelli list two sizes for the rear.

    Does anyone have any thoughts as to which is better? My bike rarely sees rain and I live in the mountains so ride largely on twisty roads.

  3. Surely everyone chooses the 180 - quicker handling - and you don't have the embarrassment of power to warrant a 190. Think I always had 180s on my 916.

  4. 748's are supposed to have 180's on them

  5. as above plus possible hugger rubbing problems with 190 (if you have one)

  6. 5.5 inch rim is standard so a 180/55 is the best option for that rim.
