748 748r Slipper Clutch > 916sp?

  1. So i have picked up a 748r slipper clutch and was going to pop it on a 918 SP engine.
    Easy right?

    No dousent fit.
Its slightly too deep and the shaft dousent come through far enough.
The question is can it fit by the purchase of a 748R specer bush that sits behind the clutch.
This would allow the clutch hub to sit back in further.

    Anyone?

  2. The 748R (and 749R) slipper clutch is unique to the model. If the top hat shaped spacer is thinner than your 916 the answer should be yes but I have not tried it. One thing though from experience, the clutch centre and pressure plate are not interchangeable with other aftermarket alternatives. If you have the tools it is not a difficult job and if you search the interweb for Bucci, there is a 4 page instruction manual to help get every thing in the correct order. Andy

  3. I have ran the same slipper on 748, 748r and 1198sp. The 1198sp needed a different tophat spacer
