  1. Hi All,

Just looking for advice on a nice summer/dry/sticky road tyre? Was thinking Supercorsa? Im not really up on the latest tyre choices. Any advice/pointers?

  2. All the main tyre manufacturers have thier own version of the Supercorsa, great in the dry, horrible in the wet and a short life. You could also consider a sport touring tyre, again the main players have their own version (and advocates), good all round grip in dry and wet with better life. I like the Metzeler M7RR, others the Michelin Pilot 4, Bridgestone S24, Pirelli Rosso III, Continental Road Attack ....... and it goes on. If you don't ride if there is a chance of rain and you don't do 1000s of miles, the Supercorsa is a very good tyre. Andy

  6. Are you using a 60 or 70 on the front?

  7. I have a set of these also. They are pretty good on the road. I have hardly seen any wear on them after a couple 100kms.

  8. Everyone I know uses 70 profile fronts on 748's, I did on mine and the R was also using one and never had any issues.

We had Pirelli Diablo Corsa's and they seem to be a really good option, closer to the Supercorsa than to a touring tyre. I really rate the Dunlop Sportsmart also but the front has quite a flat centre section compared to Pirelli which gives a slightly heavier turn feeling when upright, no problem on my 899 but on the 748r which turns slightly slower it might make the steering feel too heavy.
