After a little off on my 1098 on a recent track day I have decided to put it back to road trim and try and get my hands on a 749 purely for track use. Any words of wisdom about a 749 as a track bike, handling difference etc? Found the 1098 a bit of a handful on the small circuits which I frequently attend hence the reason of a smaller bike. Really love the stability of the 1098 but found it hard to flick about on tight turns, will a 749 be a noticeable improovement? Cheers P.
you need to understand that the suspicion geometry of the 1098 and a 749 can be exactly the same therefore the argument one is more flickable than the other is merely adjustment.....
Is there much difference ,between the superbikes,handling wise?Newer models would have evolved better suspension,maybe,but the family characteristics will be very similar.I would of thought.
