749 Did Something Weird!?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by DoctorW, Sep 11, 2016.

  1. Riding bike for couple of hours today and all good. Pulling in to refuel and I glanced down at the dash (bottom rh corner) where it usually has v-batt showing but instead it was showing (I think) cons and the numbers were in the 20's, 40's etc and down to nil when I came to a stop. Any ideas what happened? Also should there be a green light showing on the dash for normal running lights, or does this only go blue when full beam on?
    Thanks any thoughts,
    Andrew.

  2. Once you get low on fuel the dash switches to telling you your fuel consumption. Just in case that is useful...

Good job it got to zero when you came to a halt, otherwise your engine might be running a bit rich

    cheers,
    Dom

  3. What Dom said....

If the bike is new to you, remember you can toggle between air temp, batt and consumption with the right button(I think!)

You'll know about track mode for the dash as well?

  4. Thanks both. That resolves that little mystery. Thought perhaps I had electrical problems lol. Will 're-acquaint myself with the manual!! Had bike 4 years, just never noticed this before!!!
    Cheers,
    Andrew.

  5. No light for lights on, only blue for main beam. Green is for neutral.

  6. Thanks again, appreciated

  7. Btw, I have stuck a bright, white LED bulb in the parking light holder to act as a daylight running light (very bright but low power consumption) and that's easy to see if you want to quickly check if the lights are on.

Love LEDs- - way to go IMHO
