Hello chaps, end of last year I developed a leaky fuel line from the connectors that clip on to the tank. I tried to replace the o-rings but they seem to be a funny size which doesn't quite match other size o-rings. I've found the connectors on eBay for about £12 each, just wondering if they are available anywhere else cheaper, call me tight but I just thought £12 plus delivery for tiny plastic clip was alittle much.
£12 that stops a fuel leak that could endanger your life and the bike going up in flames seems pretty reasonable to me?
If it helps, the blue o-rings are made of Fluorosilicone. Your local bearing company may be able to help.
Yeah bearing company didn't seem to be much help. I think I'll call ducati today. Long shot but does any one have a part number?
I buy all my O-rings from here ( O-Rings - Viton, NBR, HNBR, EPDM, PTFE, Neoprene, Silicone & Kalrez Rubber ) Viton rings for the fuel pump are about 80p each and the quick release connector ones are 14p each I get a load at a time to save on postage. Steve
Birdie I would be grateful for information/reference or part numbers, regarding the quick release connector's o rings .
The o rings I use on my 748 are BS247V75 fuel pump and BS011V75 for the quick release fuel connectors. Steve
