749 idle problem

  1. Hi all got my first duc today 2005 749 and love it BUT got a peeoff problem when idling it cuts out and really doing my head in it's like the idle is running low also it smells a little rich any suggestions please

  2. They all do that. You can live with it or get the idle set to 2Krpm.

  3. Thanks is it summit I can do or is it a garage job?? It's really putting me off ducatis and I've only had it a day lol

  6. Need to get the TPS reset so it won't cut out, if you give it a bit of chock when starting it will start but tick over will be erratic. It did it to me for months, was annoying but all part of owning something Italian, :upyeah:

  7. The fast idle lever is your friend.

    If you've been off Ducatis after one day and one minor problem I suggest you sell it and buy something Japanese.
