749 Screen

I have one or two kicking around but too far away in York... and they are standard profile

 

I will be £3.90 Small Parcel with Royal Mail I think (if it's small enough) , but I think mine have the cut out for the parking light which you won't want.

 

2 types of screen for 749/999. Count screw holes.
8 = facelift05/06.
9 = mk1 03/04.

Yes but being aftermarket it might take later screen that are a bit wider. I have mk2 nose loose I'll measure width at back.

 

I actually like the parking light. I've put a bright white high power led in there, so it acts as a running light for extra road presence.

If your screen has 8 holes then its for late fairing but 9 hole screen should be narrower I think.
Get the same dimension from earlier screen. I know later fairing is wider but perhaps screen is narrower.

So earlier screen a bit wider.

 

Perhaps, perhaps not - just measured my 2 early 999's across the fairing as your check - in situ they measure 280mm!
My 9 hole prototype 999 has a race fairing from 2006 and that has 9 holes and measures 305mm

 

Your prototype has d16 style fairing? so screen could be unique.
srs 2 fairing with 8 holes is meant to be 20mm wider than srs1.

 

It's painted D16 but shaped 999 but that makes sense with mine measuring 280 fitted.

 

I have fitted a late screen to an early fairing and vice versa. All I did was back drill the holes onto the undrilled fairing. Piece of piss. Just drill it to fit , doesn't matter how many holes you start with.

 

As post #12 free state it measures 310mm and is the standard 9 hole with no raised bubble. Also has the parking light cut out.
