Morning again chums... Ive an 03 749 xerox that I intend on tracking. The current fairings are a bit battered ( shame as it's a dream machine paint job that would havecost a good few k years back) but I'm thinking of getting some track fairings for weight saving and belly pan. Any recommendations? Any one have some the want rid of? No rush at all, probably be my winter project ...
Dude, I weigh in at 72-75 kg... I don't want to lose weight but a lighter bike would be a bonus. Not a big deal. My monster is so easy to throw about compared to the others, would be cool to have a sport bike that weighed the same!!! Not likely on my budget nor the main goal but a few kg off is doable I guess...
May have an option for you, I have a set of QB Carbon glass fibre fairings and belly pan. This is the top fairing and both side in gell coat red, so no need to paint, and if scratched, still show red. Black gell coat belly pan. These were based on a WSB bike at the time, and tweaked to fit a road bike. These are really good quality. QB used my 2003 bike at the time for the development of the panels etc. Only tracked twice, and will go over the standard headlight bucket, so no need to remove it. These is no headlight cut out. They have a cut out in each side for R&G crash bungs mounted to the frame and engine mount .... which I also have and would part with as part of the package. Had all the above on my 2004, 749r, which won’t be going on a track again. Contemplated selling these for a while, but had no reason too. Maybe it’s time to let them go. Interested?
