For Sale 749

Discussion in 'Ducati Bikes For Sale' started by DucatiScud, Oct 3, 2022.

  1. I’ve a new to me bike inbound Saturday, before the deal is complete thought I’d offer my 749 to the forum for the same value they offered as a PX.

Red 749 05 14k plus miles, bought as a project from a non active (now)member. Replaced the fuel tank and pump. Was sent to Cornerspeed to have the throttle bodies sorted. I’ve only ridden it once 6 miles to and from the MOT station April 2021.

Good condition not immaculate but not a ships anchor either.

No MOT, belts need replacing for piece of mind as do the tyres. There are no extras of note other than a set of chain adjusters.

The photo shows the bike as it was last year, as it stands the fairing is not mounted if any interested party would like photos of the engine let me know.

I have a short clip of it running this evening that I can send an interested party.

£2750 is the asking price. I may yet change my mind so don’t dither if you’re interested.

  3. That’s a lot of bike for the money, shame there’s no room left in the garage!

  4. you may as well just give it away. amazing value
there was a chap here that was wanting a 749 not long ago

  5. Sad to see you selling that N, can't see it hanging around for long, particularly from someone who's known you on this Forum.

  6. Can’t believe that’s still here at that price. Thought it would have been snapped up

  7. only posted at 8.07 pm today though.

  8. I walked in my garage, took one look and realised no feckin ways would another fit in. Perfect cheap bike for me this would have been :(

  9. Same. I couldn’t fit a monkey bike in my garage never mind a full size 749.

  10. Cheap as chips, it'll sell at that price for sure.

  11. Need the room, been having a clear out. Tiger, BMW, RD250, HD 883 and this possibly get shut of my Monster too.

I don’t get chance to ride them all hence there being no MOT on the 749, I’d like to keep it but I know I’ll not ride it. Going down to 2 bikes my KTM790 for all weathers and the inbound Dragster 800RR for the too few sunny days.

  13. Sorry guys, not been done... it is a lovely bike but I'm really looking for the S or R variant, preferably the single seater.

  14. like one of these?

  15. its just a subframe and seat cowl away from the OP's bike and lots of money left for a serious mod budget!

  16. Different forks/shock/seat cowl/subframe to get back to std S spec...then a bit of a mod spend...like I said a very (very) good bike for someone, just not me :upyeah:
