Not mine I might add I'v been watching it on e bay. 800 odd miles and a full race engine (whatever that means). Was it a bargain ?.....can someone who knows enlighten me please because I'm not that bright.:Shamefullyembarrased:
The trouble with this bike is that i doubt it will every get started up never mind used. What a waist of a cracking bike. Best to put it in a museum I think and spend a quarter of what you've spent on a 10000 or so miler and enjoy it. After all that's what there built for isn't it? I love my 749 and use it 90% of the year and it's never missed a beat. It's not the 'R' model but it does everything I want it to do and puts a massive grin on my face nearly all the time. Although I have to be honest it's no fun in traffic but I put that down to me being to daft to let go of my youth!
Seems a bit odd that it's got all them racing gizmo's on....but I'm just curious that's all. Who ever bought it must know it's worth.
Haven't learnt how to do linky's I'm afraid but it only ended about an hour and a half ago. So it wont be to hard to find.
MMMMM. Dont know .http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-74...9703802?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item2a3a7a0d7a Looking at his Ebay feedback hes done a bit of trading. But it could be right. If it has the race kit that was available back in the day it was almost 7k. Think a wash and polish might have helped his sales chance though . Nothing like a bit of shine .
The race kit was very expensive but there was quite a bit to it. I remember MCN doing an article on it some years back. I think the the whole lot including the kit was about £16,000 all in. It was certainly a lot at the time. I know someone who paid £8500 a few years back for a carbon model and it was only a stock bike with more miles. He was frightened to use it!!! and when I met him the furthest he had been was down the petrol station!!!!!!!
Ive tried to thrash my 999R around the nurburgring a few times but the only one that ends up fucked is me.
