Hi, having recently bought a 749R, imagine my surprise at finding this on Youtube; It is the exact same bike. I was gobsmacked although I knew that it had previously been registered in Italy. My question is can anyone tell me from the video how it differs from standard?
I had a nosey at that one when I was lookig, I'm 99.99% sure they're just painted. Looks nice with them in that colour though.
I think they are standard 749r wheels painted gold .... Saying that, even standard R wheels are trick compared to other models. Spotted what looks like Samco hoses, wavey discs and the carbon cover on the tank. Curious why the engine light did not go off when the bike was started, normally indicates a fault some where???
Yes the EOBD light was on. A new wired coil was fitted although it looked to be running ok. The previous owner claims the wheels are Magnesium .I checked the part number on the rear sprocket and according to their brochure it is designed to fit their "Magnesium and forged Magnesium wheel rims". It also has a red RK racing chain. The tank appears to have been painted but the lower part left as carbon which I think looks stunning. Again the PO says that the tank is carbon fibre and Aluminium but a magnet does stick to it. He also says it has a quick action throttle and carbon intake trumpets. Curious.
Not sure about the wheels if they are painted, headlight bucket looks mag or poss painted... exhaust is standard. wonder why you would go to the effort of changing for carbon inlet stacks and not map the bike or get exhaust etc. The tank is the DP tank.. it was the same tank just carbon wrapped hence its actually heavier than a standard tank! looks nice though!
