Hi, I have recently purchased a 2001 Ducati 750 ie sport that requires a fairing/headlamp mounting frame assy. Anyone have or know of one for sale ? (Other than the one on eBay @ £70 plus £10 postage) Regards Trevor
Following up on my original post, attached is a picture of the bike that I recently purchased and as you can see, the current fairing is not that great but luckily the original fairings and headlight came with the bike. Just need the fairing mounting bracket to allow its fitment
Would it not be easy to fabricate one I’m not familiar with the bracket in question but if it’s behind the fairing and out of sight?
Yes, it is possible to fabricate one but beyond my ability, much easier to get an original one and then all of the fairing, instruments and headlight mounting points will line up perfectly.
Not impossible to fabricate one, but not a quick job either. I brought a spare one last year to modify for my 1000SS/900SL project, there were several on Ebay at the time, all priced at @£60-£70.
Did you find one @Astrauk ? Just been to my storage container and found the one I brought sitting on a shelf, and remembered I ended up modifying a 900SS carbie one to build my 1000SS/900SL.
