  1. I think that I have found the reason why none of the lights worked in my instrument panel….how are the speedo and Rev counter held in place? There are metal brackets on which they rest using small rubber bumpers. Is that it? (Veglia)

  2. I think those 'rubber bumpers' as you call them have sheared off.

The rubber cylindrical centre should be bonded to the back of the instrument at one end, and have a plate with a threaded section on the other.
The threaded section passes through the bracket and has a nut on it to hold the instrument in.
    Hope that makes sense.

  3. In this image the one on the left has sheared off like yours, the one on the right is intact:

You can just see them sticking down in this diagram:

  4. I think Mdina Italia still carry them.

  5. Thanks Paddy, got them on order from Bevel Rubber in OZ, who also supply the rubber trims for the instuement housing, I couldn’t see what I had as they had all sheared. Looks as if I can reuse the warning lights as I have some 5mm LEDs that will fit, I’m using a 3 light dash, with lighting switch, so am having the usual difficulty in getting my head round a wiring scheme
