Good morning all, Please be genial - first post! I have a DM 750m (not many of these about were they not run for long?) Any how I have always wanted a monster and this came along at the right price but with some issues - mostly cosmetic. A few miles in and as I am getting used to it I have been pushing it a little harder. One of the things noted last week was signs of clutch slip on WOT. At the mileage this bike is I kind of expect the clutch is on its way out.. And this is where the question is. I need a clutch! and it seems the kits are elusive and very very expensive compared to other bike manufactures. Does any one know where I can get a clutch kit from for a reasonable price - or if I even need that and can get away with just replacing the friction pads? Kind Regards, Sam
Just a thought, make sure it's got the correct oil in it if you're changing the clutch, not long fixed a clutch for a mate cos it had car oil in it. Give MotoRapido a call and ask them what the options are, or seek out an EBC one
Fully Synthetic oil will do that. For parts at the right price try Baines Racing at Silverstone. Geoff Baines has a good stock of parts that he souced from Ducati specialist that have moved to other marques. His advice is also helpful. Phone 01327 858510 The previous posting regarding Moto Rapido is also good. I use them for parts that Geoff Baines dosen't hold. In fact it was Geoff that reccomended them to me in the frirst place. If you are shopping around, I think you will find that 750SS parts are the same but get advice from either of the companies above. Good Luck
Thanks all, annoyingly I just dropped the oil out and put fully synthetic in it, that said the oil that came out of it was not great. So ill ride it and see how it does. If this doesn't work ill give Geoff a call
