Want to build a 750 engine for my Cafe bike in my other post. Used it for a while and really like how it rides on open roads not quite right yet but getting there. Id like a bit more go than the 600 engine. I do have a 900 engine which is being rebuilt but I would like to build a 750 engine for it. Are the newer Injection barrels/cylinders 98 > compatible with carb cases from around 95? Part No. I think for carb base gasket from 95 is 78610081A . Which I believe is different to 97/98 > engines. Even though the base gasket part Nos. are different will the newer cylinders work on the older cases with carb heads? Haven't got any here to compare If anyone can point me to any info on head work (porting, reshaping etc) nothing too drastic as I will do as much of the work myself. Thanks for any info

if you were adapting a 600 then there are many people who could help but not so the 750 - you could try the Ducati.ms search engine. I think the mouth diameter of the barrel might have got larger on the later i.e. engine as it did for the 600 apart from that i'm no help.
