Hey, My old man has a 1995 750ss, he's got a bad back and cannot ride for more than 3 dozen miles without stopping. He's almost in tears at the thought of having to sell up his beloved bike which hes owned for almost a decade. I wondered if riser kits are available for these? Or is it a custom made jobby? Thanks
Can't see how it would work........my clip-ons are as low as poss and they still are very close to the fairing when on lock. Get him to strip it back to a cafe racer without a fairing, or flat bars so he can ride like Graeme Crosby......... AL PS..........Tell him to stop moaning.........I'll bet I'm older and I just grin and bear the pain.........(its my wallet that bears the brunt of it)
You can get riser clip-ons which are relatively easy to change over (depending on the fork leg clamp end....might have to remove top yoke etc etc) but I'll guarantee they will put the OEM MC reservoirs in touch with the fairing on lock to lock in the area behind where the mirrors are fitted. .........and then of course you might find you need longer brake hoses and possibly even the handlebar switch wiring.
