796/1100s Standard Exhaust

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by Regenwulf, May 5, 2023.

  1. Does anyone know whether the standard exhaust is the same and fits between teh 796 adn the 1100S?

    Cheers,

  2. From what i remember (and someone can ed-u-mac-ate me on this) i think the bore size is the same but theres a difference between the mount point on the header at the back near the footpeg - something to do with the lambda sensor location? this is between the old s and the evo though...

  3. Cheers Comfy. Will try to work it out and will report back if I reach a conclusion...

  4. Well, if the lambda does fowl up (assuming your using one) you could, just get it mapped and have the lambda removed...my last hyper i think i did that....(had an evo)

  5. I assume the engine blocks are the same so that the exhaust mounts are identical? I assume it's simply the bore and/or stroke used to change the capacity?

  6. barrels are the same but, the bottom end is different...wet clutch on the 796....

  7. Yes of course. I should remember that from the racket the 1100 makes!

  8. Yep....mines probably the most impractial bike ive ever owned.
    1. Sets car alarms off when it starts up
    2. Need ear plugs all of the time.
    3. Wheelies in every gear 1st 2nd and 3rd off the throttle
    4. Slipper clutch even just pulling away is an art (and needs servicing every 1k)
    5. Not amazingly comfortable.

But i love it...so far left field it fell off the side.!
