796 Forks

  1. Do any of the other Ducati forks fit a 796 some look pretty similar apart from the mudguard hangers as not many second hand hyper forks about cheers steve

  2. Hyper forks are v long. Measure yours and go to duc dealer and check other models or ask on here but think youll find theyre specific.

  3. I don't think so. To fit 1100 forks you need to change the triple clamps too. My forks were way too soft so I fitted some Wilburs springs matched to my weight and riding style. Not fully adjustable but a massive difference and work for me. I think with new oil cost about £60

  4. I fitted a Traxxion Dynamics kit, it was less than $100 when I bought mine, the difference for the outlay was astonishing, they're very helpful if you call them.

  5. cheers guys the forks are bent so I need a new set and availability on web seems few and far between so I was wondering if other forks would fit don't want to buy new as anything with Ducati b4 it seems to double the price

  6. Oh that's not good. Goodluck with your search. Maybe cheaper in Europe with the exchange rate at the moment

  8. On the Ducati ms forum there was a thread on this. Including an argument re. (some?) 848 forks fitting (or not..) - & being longer than hyper...?! but has 320mm discs. Someone racing a 796 with them in...
I have seen the early multistrada forks (can't recall which version but might have a note somewhere) anyway - the 43mm ones, as being suitable but you need the front wheel / discs etc as calipers not compatible with hyper radials. Something I was thinking of for mine as the multi forks are adjustable & although second hand will be way cheaper than the lovely Andreani kit.
