Hi Guys I know its a little childish, but, anyone got any advice on how to wheelie a 796 Hyper, Ive watched on youtube and seen it done but after months of trying via dipping the clutch in second mainly its still elusive.. Many thanks Noods
This 3 phase system works. Try 2500 - 5500 instead of what's in the article. Where the article states 4000 rpm to 3000 rpm it should be 3000 to 2000 Learn to wheelie with Jimmy Fireblade - | Motorcycle Riding Advice | Motorbike Riding Tips
Buy a 1100 version and let it take care of itself ? Joking aside, the 796 I rode felt slower than my old 696 monster. And not that I tried but neither would lift the wheel easily. Second gear, slip the clutch and pull up. But not to hard
Loads of stuff on tinternet if you search, either clutch up (I dont like trying) or 1st gear hard off then on throttle and straight into 2nd for control. Not that I can but occasionally get it right
It's piss easy on my 1100S, but I really struggled on the 796 that I rode in Italy. You have to be brutal with it! The technique is to bounce the bike on the throttle. Get it in second and accelerate to expand the forks then shut the throttle to compress them, then accelerate again to snap them up. It's a real chopping motion on the throttle and a tug on the bars helps. Take it easy when you first start to get used to the feeling then build from there. Keep the back brake covered! If you fall off, it wasn't my fault  I actually found the Monster 696 was easier to wheelie. I ended up having a wheelie competition with Jamie Whitham!
