  1. Hi, me again..

Sorry, but this is my first rebuild I've attempted, it's going well but, getting the odd headache, I think it's better to ask before you start breaking things ... On my 2010 796

I cannot move a small hexagon headed bolt which is down a hole in the swingarm as per pics... I'm trying to get the shock out but, I've done the usual,,, WD40 , hit around area with a rubber mallet and swore a bit too..

The rubber bung was in place covering the hole so it can't be that rusty... The heads good at mo but I'm putting so much leverage on it it's untrue... Any suggestions pls...

  4. Ha ... Fair comment Guys, if I only new how to I would... I actually have 5 swingarms ...

My 796... With a slight issue... My 748 r which is fine, a S4 r swingarm which I plan to use if I ever get this one off...and then there's the two my wife has... A left and a right... As she swings both ways... I do not.. Lol

  5. Are you using a small hex bit attachment on a small wrench or a full blown 1/2 inch hex socket and a breaker bar?

Ive just done mine on my 749 and it was done up tight. Came down to technique but you wouldnt have any trouble with a 1/2 inch drive and a big breaker bar as that gear can easily snap a bolt that size.

Take your time and if you are using small scale tools.... upgrade.

  6. Have you taken the weight off the rear end? It won't work sitting on a paddock stand!!

  7. he is saying the bolt won't undo….not that its unscrewed and won't come out…..
