Looking for a more comfortable seat than the standard seat for my 848.. Been thinking of getting the standard seat re-trimmed and padding put in, but if there’s somebody selling a seat will save me the time and hassle. Thanks
Most people are on the look out for something like this! you probably have the right idea in getting a spare seat off eBay and getting it re-trimmed as it will probably be better. The issue with thinker seats in my mind is that it then just puts more weight on your wrists and puts your back as a more acute angle so for me a thin layer of gel would be the best option. I like the Superpole design though as it's lipped at the front to help stop you sliding into the tank. If these come up though they tend to be expensive.
Have you considered a Luimoto cover with the Gold Gel? Not cheap but if you can afford it they are a hassle free option, with my upholsterer fitting one for $50NZ over the top of the original cover.
