848 / 1098 Scale Models

  1. I've taken the notion that I fancy building a Tamiya type model of an 848... but I can't seem to see any online of this age Ducati. There's the obvious 916 and some historic race bikes like the 888 and the 990cc Desmosedici etc. but I'm not finding any 848 / 1098 models.

    I don't build these and haven't built anything like this since I was in school, so I'm not after a high-end kit, just a £20ish set that I can have a toy about with.

    Anybody know where I could find one?

  2. There's probably only a market for iconic Ducati's so it's not worth the tooling costs...

  3. You're probably right...

    There's not actually all that much choice in the likes of the Tamiya range so they probably only do the most famous / iconic models from each manufacturer.

  8. You can find pristine models in most dealers now...pretty heavily marked down too :wink:

  11. Have a look on italian websites.

    We were in Sorrento again last yr, pickued up a couple ( made up ). Got a dinger of a 1:6 scale 999. If Id of had more room Id of bought loads ! :cool:
