Hi folks, Still got my DVT Mutley and use it every day with no issues, but have spotted a yellow/gold 2012 848 SF and was wondering if there are bar risers around for it to get around the aching wrist problem. I know its the age (59) I hear you say, but sounds a great bike to have which at the moment is sat on a dealer's showroom floor doing nothing.
It is definitely possible to get bars/risers that result in the bars being higher than stock. I have compared the bars on mine to a stock SF848 and my bars are higher. I know mine has a set of Rizoma bars fitted, but I also presume different risers. Char would know more as the bike used to be hers.
I have a set of Ducabike risers fitted to my SF848.They ive you the option of not only raising the bar height but also the distance fore and aft.A very worthwhile mod,recommended.
No I didn't post any pics-I still have the bike and could take measurements for you if required. If you enter Ducabike Bar Risers into your search engine you will find a load of pics available to view,more than likely better than anything I could take.
Had a look at their site Mervyn and see they've got loads for Duc's of all sorts. to be honest, i googled the bike with them on and got loads of pics coem up so thanks for your help.
