Morning! The conversion of the 848 to a race / track bike continues... (money nearly spent, so now on a tight budget until I find more compromising photographs to support my blackmail sponsorship scheme...) I shall be entering her in the NL Endurance race at Donnington in May but still use her as a road bike for the odd ride out... So I'm after a belly pan that will pass ACU regs, but still have the cut out for the side stand for road / normal track day use... I've found a carbon one in Australia (bit pricey), but other wise no joy... I could really do with a full race fairing, but I like a cut out for the stand... Any ideas of where I could get one, or a full fairing? I've got the nose fairing and bracket, so only really need the belly pan to pass regs... Thanks, Bob
I had one that passed ok with some cut out. Maybe fill it with the amount of water acu say it needs then you'll know if will be ok
Have you checked cfc or crc fairings? I use them on my race bike and it allows side stand (not a ducati).
I used the crc one and used my original as a template and cut out for the sidestand, that said i have no idea if it would conform to regs.
I looked at the crc web site... Simmy, your post suggests that I'll need to cut it our myself... I think may be a good option, then see how much fluid it can / needs to hold ( Half the oil capacity of the bike I think... I'll look it up... ) Many thanks, Bob
Just had a quick look at mine and the sidestand cut out seems to be higher than the lowest part of the bellypan the rear section by the rear wheel.
