848 848 Engine Light!

  1. Hi,
I have recently bought an 08 848 which originally had arrow cans fitted but is now back to standard. Just back from my first run and the engine light has came on :/ I stopped, turned off the ignition and the light cleared but every time I'm going through towns and 30 zones the light comes back on! There is no change in the noise or power of the engine so I'm thinking it must of been remapped for the arrow cans and now the standard ones are back on, it's coming up with this fault?

If anyone has experience if this please give me some advice, cheers

  2. You need to get the fault code to identify what the issue could be. I think you need to have the ignition on with the fault light lit then scroll up through the menu on the left bar. You should find a fault code comes up.

I believe this is the list of codes and you should be able to identify from there.

  4. Thanks, I'm going out tonight so will give that a try. Where abouts on the exhaust is the lambda sensor fitted? Is there more than one?

  5. Just one on a 848. It's underneath the sump on the pipe with wires heading up on the clutch side of the bike

  6. Just back of a run and the light came on again. Fault is showing EXVL 23.5 so I checked the cables for the butterfly valve and their slack, going to tighten them up and fingers crossed it will sort the problem.
