There has to be something wrong at that price. It's definitely £3-4k underpriced. If it sounds too good to be true then it usually is.
Its a scam. They have a 2012 R1 on there too. I emailed the guy about the R1 through ebay messages - which conceals real email addresses and got a reply direct to my email address from [email protected] Hi, The total price is £4500 including the shipping to your address. Price reduced for quick sale, and i have decided to sell it for a lower price because i need the money. Currently i am located in Northern part of United Kingdom, in a beautiful sea-side city called Thurso, because i just finished the divorce with my wife and i have moved here to my parents home. The payment will be made through eBay and only after you will receive the item, i will receive the payment. It will take around 3-5 working days until you will receive the item and you will have a 3 days inspection period (so you have 3 days to change your mind and refuse or keep it). Also, I need to know if you have cash in hand because I have a lot buyers interested in the purchase and I don't have time to waste. No offense but if you really want to buy it I will stop communicating with the other interested buyers. If you are interested in buying it please provide me your full name and address so i can initiate the deal through eBay. You must know that eBay will contact you without any obligation to buy it or fees. I will wait your answer (if you are interested to buy) very soon. Regards The phone number provided on all the ads don't tally with the real info of that dealership. No one answers the phone. The gmail address on google brings up all kinds of dealers with cheap cars all over the country. Seems well dodgy.
sounds good for 5k, might be weather related cost, or all the 848 owners are just finding out how much there bikes are really worth
Not sure it is a scam, the FJ12 in background is in his listings, all the bikes are photo'd in same shop front. There is some very cheap bikes there tho.
Keith, this has to be a scam. Look at the prices for the other stuff, I think the dealer's account has been hacked. Phone them tomorrow and find out. If it's genuine I'll have the GSXR750 that's up for a grand .....I think my money's safe....
Look how this 'seller' has written their reply...... 100% scam. His/Her grammer is awful. Ask to make a viewing and they will give you some excuse why you can't view.
I'm car trade & the number of emails that we get claiming that they are from eBay/Autotrader (we don't even advertise on eBay), asking for our account details & passwords is rather high to say the least, we know of a dealer that was foolish enough to reply too. In that instance, he was locked out of Autotrader by the scammer, who changed the phone numbers & lowered the prices on his ads, this looks somewhat similar.
im going to West Hampstead in the morning just in case it isnt a scam, its only up the road that said, it is likely to be a scam as the company was only registered less that 2 weeks ago and that unit was def not a bike shop 4 weeks ago cos i was across the road having dinner with a friend. very fishy, will let u know outcome (in the unlikely event i will be gloating over my bargain acquisition)
