848 / Evo Servicing In South East / Kent Area

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by nik3100, Apr 23, 2015.

  1. I'm close to buying an 848 Evo that I've seen but it will need a service in July and I was wondering who you guys recommend in and around Kent?

Any clues as to a typical price for a standard 6000 mile belt change? The bike is a 20011 and covered 6500 miles.

I can do oil and filter, brake fluids and coolant myself but clearance's and belts are beyond me I think

  2. Where about a in Kent are you, it's quite big?
I'm just over the border in Hastings and just had a quote from Moton Motorcycles. The owner Pete owns, races and prepares others track/race Ducatis. He's quoted me £225 labour to change belts and check valve clearances.

  3. Pro twins godstone.

  4. Without doubt a lot of members here will heartily recommend Alex ,and he will collect for a tiny charge too.

  5. Buying private or dealer? If it's a dealer I'd be getting that service thrown in now.

  6. MD Racing, mike dawson, think he's Surrey / Kent border

  7. Avoid MD Racing.
He used to be good, then went down hill.

Don't take my word for it.
Search Mike or MD racing in Walton on here.

Note I've spent over £10K with him, so a keen customer until the last two visits.

  8. Used Pete for years good bloke to knowand he's local

  9. MD Racing - Very poor recent reviews and no love for them here really.
Pro V on the service side are superb, Rob runs a great workshop, but they ae pricey, almost JHP money.
One well worth a mention is Mike Baxter at BBS, BBS Motorcycles, Southfleet, Kent, DA13 9PH, really knows his Ducatis, isnt high profile but always does a really good job. there are a few here that use him for all sorts of stuff, myself included at times.
