848 Evo Sigma Slipper Clutch Problem

  1. Hope some one can advise on what's gone wrong or help fix problem. Was at Croft today on track day. Went out on 5the session release clutch in first gear and it pulled away with a jerk. first lap when engaging clutch to change down box. The clutch didn't seem to re engage properly causing it to dangerously coast into the corners. Ended up pulling in on first lap. The bike is a 2011 evo fitted with a Sigma clutch. Cheers in advance.

  2. I would be stripping it down to investigate, there's not much to go wrong, although I don't know the sigma unit in detail there can't be much difference to the evr I have, might be the spider spring snapped. Sorry can't be any more help.

  3. As Steve suggests, if the spider Spring has broken there is nothing to keep the ramp mechanism from operating and causing the clutch to behave as if it is slipping, hence the coasting sensation. I agree that you need to get your spanners out. Andy

  4. Is it a wet clutch or converted to dry?
