848 Ohlins TTX base set up?

  1. Hi all,

The ohlins TTX is about to go onto the 848... Standard linkage... I hope to get it set up properly at my next track day, but was hoping for some advice so that I'm not a million miles off, main thing being preload as its more of a pain to change than damping...

I'm weigh 12 stone, and have an 80 spring fitted... So how much preload should I wind on??

    Any advice most welcome...

    Thanks,

    Bob

  2. Many thanks... I've just had a good look at it...

I did try to set up my 748 a few years ago by following a similar guide from PB. I thought that I'd nailed it back then, but apparently not... ( according to a proper suspension bloke...)

I changed the ride adjuster today ( to a unit that can adjusted  ) I've got my hands on a ride height measuring tool and set it to 235mm ( about 10mm more than it was on) I'll use this as a datum to try to set the sag...

Probably a two man job, so one for next week as Thursday is beer night...

    Cheers,

    Bob

  3. Two man job really. If you can get the sag in the right region without extremes of all or nothing its a good start. Then get it so the front and rear compress and return at the same rate (i'll see if i can find the YT link) and its fine adj from there. Or pay someone :)

  4. Top video clip. Dogs nads... will be checking more of these out...
