Hi, I'm new to both Ducatis and this forum, so I'm hoping someone will be able to help me out with a query I have. I have found a new small part in a box of bits I got with my '57 Ducati 848, which is called "Centralina Silenz.racing". Here is a photo of it... DSC_3229 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! Can anyone tell me what it is?! It seems to be basically the same as this one I found on ebay - CENTRALINA PERFORMANCE DUCATI MULTISTRADA 1100 | eBay but as that's all in Italian I'm none the wiser as to what it is! Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks John
It's your ecu...... Has your bike had end cans or full exhaust system fitted? If so that will probably be the original stock one. Post the number from the sticker on the ecu and I'll check which one it is, I'll check the number from the box too, but it's likely to be the box the Ducati Performance ecu came out of.
Yup....the number on the box is for the 848 slip on exhaust ecu.....which should be in your bike with the end cans on and the actual ecu should have a different number as it should be the original one.
Ah, that all makes sense. Thanks! Yes, it has Termi cans on it now, so that explains it. I'll check the number on the actual ECU, but it sounds like you're spot on with your diagnosis!
