848 Streetfighter tyres

  1. Just purchased an 848 street fighter and after a wee tumble on day 1 I've lost confidence in the OEM fit Diablo Corsas. Living in Scotland I don't believe they'll cope well with the varying weather conditions, well they didn't on day 1:eek:. Ducati have introduced a new rear profile 180/60/17 and my insurance co insist on original profile fit and I'm struggling to find anything with that profile giving decent wet grip check the usual suspects Bridgestone, Dunlop etc no luck. Anyone got any suggestions I'm getting sick of trawling websites:rolleyes:

  2. Suffed pretty much I had to get a replacement in June - lucky I was at the factory in Bologna then as none in uk

I road 300 miles last week from Belgium in the wind and rain on them with no probs

Why have you lost confidence what happened?

  3. Pirelli Diablo Rosso II all the way... :upyeah:

  4. I had them on my 848 Dark an agree they are great but unfortunately not available in correct profile for streetfighter. The only ones I've found are Maxxis but I've no real knowledge of them.

  5. My rear has now got a nail in it at 2800 miles and has already squared off and find that Pirelli have no stock of the 180-60/17 , so i am going to try a 55 profile instead given that i travel some 12000 miles a year on my bike and hate tyres that only give some 2-3000 thousand miles!!!
