I am after a base setting for my 848 track bike, I need ride height and wheel base settings. I rode it for the first time at brands on Monday, it feels as though it could do with more weight over the front. At the moment it is a stock setup, but I will be getting an adjustable ride height link so I can add I bit more height to the rear. Any help would be great.
I've been having a look on ducati.org the US forum there's a lot of info on geometry there. They seem to be adding rear ride height, also a lot of them use a linear linkage from KyleUSA which apparently gives more traction but requires the bottom shock mount to be modified to fit. Then there's the triple clamps I think standard the 848 has 34 or 35mm offset, 30mm seems to be the favourite for track use to give better turn in but lose a little stability, some people have went as far as trying 27mm but the front wheel rubbed on the plastic shield by the radiators :0
