Anyone know where I could get my hands on the small plastic 2 pin connector(connector and 2 new pins) for the starter solenoid on the 888?, I think the 916/ 996/ 998 etc could be the same Cheers Jack
Just had a reply back, Don't do them, Cheers though, Anyone else? These are on loads of were bikes, 851/ 888/ 916 series/ ST4/ Some monsters, Surely a few has replaced them?? If not ive always got the option to swap over to the newer solenoid with Fixed tail for igniter wires Cheers
I did a thorough search for these and couldn't turn them up anywhere. The usual problem is that the female terminals in them open up with time and often also get corroded. Consequently they either fall out of the socket in the solenoid or just don't make a connection. If the housing is in good nick you could probably replace the terminals with something from the Molex range but all in all it would be a better solution to replace with a newer solenoid with the connectors on tails. Then you'll need to find the matching connector to fit on the loom.
