899 Panigale

  1. Hi all
I'm collecting a 2015 899 Panigale this week, in time for a trip to the Manx races at the Isle of Man.
To say I'm excited is a massive understatement!
My first Ducati, after 24 years of biking. I do road and occasional trackdays. Not so much touring anymore with 2 small children, but hopefully that will come back around.
I've convinced myself that life is too short put-off the finer things for too long!
I know the value of these forums to owners, so I hope to contribute in any way I can, starting with a subscription.

  13. Hey all
Well, back after a great 435 mile trip to the islansd, and I'm still very much smitten (you'd hope so....).
Everything that was told about the bike was true, and it was a dream on the island (well, the smoother bits at least). It's achingly pretty, bit heavy on the wrists (I can manage that OK), bit warm on the backside in traffic (sit back on the seat when rolling along and it cools quickly) and the throttle is a bit jerky. All which I am happy to resolve/put up with.
I'd like to get a trackday in soon, and it's a cracking roadside first and foremost. Easily manageable power, characterful and thrilling all at the same time.
(BTW; Am I better to post modification suggestions in the bike specific forum?)

    What a bike!!!
