Here we go, post shake down road test PDI photo’s as promised, Termi pipes, DP carbon tail tidy, tank protector, clutch & genny covers, alarm system and tinted high screen all fitted, the under size registration plate has arrived in the post and insurance is sorted. All ready to rock and roll come September. Unfortunately the Corse fairing livery and some carbon I ordered is still on back order but that is no big deal and can be fitted as and when. 41T rear sprocket and chain will be fitted at first service. The huge registration back plate and reflector will be removed from the carbon tail tidy when I fit the undersize plate to give a nice clean minimal rear end. That scruffy looking individual is the head techy, never judge a book by its cover. What he doesn’t know about working on Ducati's isn’t worth knowing, and when he is not fixing them he is racing them. I had asked him if, when he did the shake down run if he would take a twisty scenic route and get some heat into the tires to save me tippy toeing around with my balls in my mouth. I said I was going to order some race front fork sliders from another Ducati dealer and race team based in the midlands as I didn’t like the ones they showed me and they said to get them sent straight to them and they would fit them FOC. Awesome service. I had nothing against my local Honda dealer Marshalls, now since closed and the franchise transferred to Wheels, who I wouldn’t trust to service my tractor; they have a lot to learn about how to treat a customer. Now the only open question is do I trade my blade (price offered is more than I expected) or keep it. I have to make my mind up before the end of next week, L is saying ‘do what you want, but just bear in mind you hardly have time to ride one bike let alone two’ my head and heart are at odds and I am swaying back and forth so I guess it will be a snap decision at the eleventh hour when I make the bank transfer to pay for the Panigale.
