evening all, as a newby to all things Ducati, and the proud owner of a 99 900 ss ie (apologies to all you carby owners), I'm intrigued to understand what the optimum tyres pressures are. I've ran a number of jap/Brit/German bikes running on mostly Bridgestone bt21/23's and Michelin's......and these have always been set at f36/r42 psi.....and have produced great grip, wet or dry. Current 900 is fitted with a set of new Pirelli Angel GTs......but I'm getting conflicting advice on pressures......all of it considerably different to the generic 36/42....what's the optimum?
2.2 bar front and 2.4 bar rear. That's the factory settings and I've run them for years without problems, regardless of tyre. Dropped a few psi for track use depending on weather conditions, but they're pretty much on the ball for most of the time.
hah just had to google that into psi 32 and 34 just what I run on my ss ie wasn't sure what was standard recommendation but found that was what worked the best
