I've noticed my bike makes a sort of 'groan' when I push it along, which seems to occur at every full revolution of the wheels I would say. Can't quite tell where it's coming from or whether this is just normal. Not sure what it could be? It runs just fine. And another thing. I have to keep a cover on the bike most of the time because otherwise I'd just sit and stare at it all day long. Is this also normal?
Maybe a wheel bearing then, or tight spot on chain? Get someone else to push it then get you ear close or feel for vibration near moving parts. Drooling over bike perfectly acceptable in my world.
there was a similar thread recently but can't remember what the outcome was. As above plus I did have a groan myself on a 750SS - it was a silent block in the rear wheel also one per wheel revolution.
It was mine Chris.............rear wheel bearing had moved in the housing because the spacer was too long........So tightening the rear axle crushed the bearings until the bearing was pushed out of the housing a bit and then started turning in the hub....... Rear wheel was dumped because of the damage to the hub housing........Not cheap to repair, particularly as it had gone off-centre. AL
