900SS High Level Pipes - what fits / works / is available?

  1. Hi.

    I'm rebuilding a 1991 900SS and I will be adding a completely new rear subframe and I am looking for a pair of silencers. I know 900SL pipe are high level and others (notably Akrapovich - very tasty) make high level pipes but I wondered if there was any other type of silencer that could fit.

    The look that I want to achieve is something like the 888 race bikes where the cans are angled quite along way up.

    There are some cheap Akrapovich RSV1000R silencer on ebay as I write this but at 60mm bore I suspect they might be too big.

  2. l will be able to supply high level stainless link pipes in polished finish for £80 a pair plus P+P
    these link pipes will take any 50mm exhaust can

  3. Will they be the same shape as the Superlight ones or something like the Honda SP1/2 ?

    that are the same as the 888 SP's

    Thats a good price tbh.
    I payed that for a pair of mild steel ones for my 2008 season race bike.

  6. Off on a slight tangent, but will carby 900ss FE downpipes fit a 750ss?

  7. I'm not 100% but i think they will, you just need to shorten the V down pipe/header.

  9. I have Bos pipes on mine and am very happy with the quality.
    Another option for you anyway.

  11. These are 750 / 900 SS IE cans and link pipes on a carbed 750.
