900ss Switch Gear Decals ?

Discussion in 'Supersport (1974-2007)' started by Roadtrip, Feb 5, 2024.

  1. As the title,
Been cleaning my switch gear and just about all the decals are faded, did a bit of searching and no luck, anyone know if someone makes them in sticker form.

  2. Is the text not in relief and filled with paint?

  3. It's just smooth, wish it was relief as thats what my kh250 had. I've message a decal dealer on ebay just waiting a reply

  4. Ah, yes, I'd forgotten those ones are printed.
I think you are going to be on your own with this one.
There were companies that would supply any artwork you gave them as a letraset style 'rub-down' but I'm not sure if they exist any more.

  5. I know this is after the horse has bolted, but found out many years ago to my dismay/by accident, that the applied red script certainly on that era of switchgear, comes off fairly easily/starts to fade if the slightest solvent is in the cleaner i.e., to be avoided with WD-40 et cetera.

  8. https://classictransfers.co.uk/. might be able to help, they have a lot of classic Ducati transfers and do custom ones as well. I haven't used them but might be worth a call.

  9. The Letraset type jobbies are called Dry-Transfer.

It looks like there are loads of places around that will make them to your design:

I can't find any sign of the company I used to use in London a few years ago.
