900ss Trying To Fit Oxford Grips

  1. The throttle slider on my 1996 900ss measures 26.5mm, across the diameter, not just raised ribs or deformed but everywhere I measured and the heated grip is only 25.6mm ID.
    Anybody else had this problem?
    I was thinking of getting another SS or a Monster one from eBay to try.

  3. I could try, it might not be rigid enough. But worth trying, strange why it's that 1mm to big.

    Thinking I'll make a pipe up at work to go inside the throttle sleeve to give it the rigidity to turn it down. Thanks

  6. If you do that and glue it all together it'll be strong enough
