You mean the version famously styled by Pierre Terreblanche, after the hugely valuable Supermono? Ducati Supermono - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia With fuel injection replacing the troublesome carburettors? More power and easier starting.... Then again, the riding position can be less comfortable than the older ones, the suspension is not very good, and the standard silencers are too big and quiet.
As I may have mentioned once or twice before (!), I had a beautiful creamy yellow 900ssie and miss it to this day. Cracking 'real world' bike and I almost regret keeping the 999 and selling the ss. In saying all that, I have never thrown a leg over an older non-injected bike so I may have missed a trick there. Cheers RB
I had a couple over the years and thought they were both great bikes but not as comfortable as the older carb ones.
the ie models seem to have lower bar position than the carby models and are a bit cramped but not that uncomfy when riding
Got one of each. The ie is marginally better in every way except the fairing But it must be the ohlins one with the lighter wheels.
