916 916 Restoration

  1. Now it's a bit warmer in the garage, over the weekend I started to strip down my 95 biposto to recondition and restore. IMG_5587 (1).jpeg IMG_5606.jpg IMG_5607.jpg I am sure I will have plenty of questions. Can anyone advise how I unplug the ECU?

  2. pull the metal tag back and release the multi plug
     
  3. Many thanks. Does it just pull out? I did try but it seems very tight and I didn't want to break anytihng.

  6. Yeah I struggled with that the first time. As @cookster says, the side opposite the cable entry is hooked. Once you’ve unlocked the one side it swings out like it’s on a hinge. You won’t bend the pins.
     
  7. Great, I’ll get on with that tomorrow night. One of the worst problems is the number of rusty fittings, particularly the Allen key heads, which are very difficult and frustrating to undo.
